Here is some more information on the Third Belgian BA Conference in Brussels on October 13th, part of BA&Beyond 2020:

The Third Belgian Business Analysis Conference BA & Beyond is a unique event for business analysts by business analysts, with approximately 25 interesting presentations in total, various workshops, side tracks and a dedicated BA tools & techniques exhibition. Our annual conference connects core BA competences like process analysis and requirements management with new domains like customer experience design and product ownership, and bridging analysis with strategy, architecture, agile, ...

This year's edition will be hybrid, mainly online, but with an onsite dimension for keynotes (livestreamed for online participants) and hands-on workshops, which will not be available online.

BA&Beyond 2020 also has 3 Pre-Conference Workshops (online-only):

Discover your Facilitation Skills - How to discover and improve them, and apply them on the next day with Karen Peirens and Lara Donners (full-day workshop, divided in part 1 on October 2nd and part 2 on October 12th, both from 9h30 till 12h30 Brussels time)

Do you want to take your facilitation skills to the next level? Are you up for a challenge? Join our facilitation training and apply the skills and techniques you learn the next day at the BA & Beyond conference.

Getting to the Essence - How to Get the 'What' Beyond the 'Who' and 'How' with Alec Sharp (half-day workshop on October 9th, 14h30-18h Brussels time)

A fundamental ability of great BAs is separating the 'what' from the 'who', 'how', and 'why'. Backed up by numerous real-life examples, this tutorial will provide practical techniques and frameworks for getting to the essence in a variety of business analysis challenges.

This half-day workshop offers business analysts practical and proven techniques for focusing on the what (the events, entities, activities, processes) first, rather than on the who and how. Backed by so many real-life examples, this is going to be a very worthwhile workshop on business-oriented business analysis:

Facts Tell, Stories Sell - Moving from Data to Decision and Action with Lori Silverman (half-day workshop on October 12th, 14h30-18h Brussels time)

Your company invests a lot in analytics and reporting, but what is the return on those investments in terms of data insights and data-driven decisions? All data has a voice. How do you get it to speak? To be heard? And does your data motivate people to do something different? First, you need to extrapolate meaning from data. Then you must transform this meaning - these insights - into compelling stories that move people to shift their thinking and change their behavior. Learn what's needed to transform data to more easily get your point across - get decisions made faster - and spark action. Business analysts can play a crucial role in such a data driven decision process

The number of places for these 3 online workshops is limited to 25 as we want to make them as interactive, immersive and productive as possible.
