Why do we organise this knowledge booster session ?

Knowledge booster sessions are short, live, interactive, online meetings about a specific topic. These can be eye-openers, brief explanations of new trends and technologies, or discussions about new developments that will impact your business.

We decided to run a knowledge booster session about the Data Mesh because many companies have questions about this.

Data Mesh is a new way of managing data based on decentralized teams and Data Products. While a team of domain experts can be highly efficient in dealing with their own data, the Mesh requires sharing data across domains at a scale. How can we ensure that understanding of the contents of these Data Products is shared between teams so that the all-encompassing network of Data Products truly begins to function as a Data Mesh?

Data Modelling is proven to provide answers to similar questions in more traditional contexts like Data Warehousing, but with a strong focus on real-world language and business content, it's the perfect tool for enabling your Data Mesh.

In this session, you will learn about the following:

  • Why cross-domain communication is so important for Data Mesh
  • How Data Modelling builds common understanding and shared language between domains
  • How Ellie, the cloud-based data modelling tool, achieves this

This free interactive online session is presented and facilitated by data modelling expert Juha Korpela. Juha is Chief Product Officer at Ellie Technologies Inc.

We will try to answer your questions about Data Mesh. If possible, please send in your questions upfront via pvr@itworks.be or put them in the chat during the session. You can indicate your interest in this session via the LinkedIn Event page, but you will only get the meeting link if you register properly via:
