On the 20th of September, we organise the annual event "The Future of IT". Peter Hinssen (Nexxworks)
Nexxworks

Peter Hinssen is one of Europe's thought leaders on the impact of technology on our society. He has a focus on the consumer adoption of technology, on the impact of the networked digital society and on the alignment between Business and IT. Peter co-founded Across Group in 2005, is the Chairman of Across Technology, and founded Nexxworks in 2014.

Peter is currently involved as a coach to executives to develop perspectives on the future and how to drive innovation. He is also a board advisor on subjects related to innovation and IT. He develops executive education workshops and awareness sessions to bring business challenges with IT solutions, and to leverage the innovation potential of IT.

Peter lectures at various business schools in Europe such as London Business School (UK) and Antwerp Management School (Belgium). Peter is a passionate keynote speaker who is frequently welcomed at forums and conferences around the world. His first seminar appearance was for I.T. Works in 1995, and he co-presented over 100 events for I.T. Works since.

Jan Henderyckx (Inpuls)
Inpuls

Jan Henderyckx is a highly-rated advisor, speaker and author who has been active in the field of Information Management since 1986. He is the founder and managing partner of Inpuls cvba, a consulting company focussing on enabling data driven, compliant and sustainable business value creation.

Jan's experiences, combined with information architecture and management expertise, have enabled him to help many organisations to optimise the business value of their information assets. He has advised internationally and in different industries on the setup of CDO and DPO roles. Based on these experiences Jan has defined an approach for bridging the gap between big data architectural blueprints and regulatory- and ethical compliant big data use cases.

He has presented, moderated and taught workshops at many international conferences and User Group meetings worldwide. He is the President of the Belgium and Luxembourg chapter of DAMA (Data Management Association) and is a DAMA International Board member being the Chair of the Presidents Council. He has published articles in many leading industry journals, and has been elected to the IDUG Speakers Hall of Fame, based upon numerous Best Speaker awards. Jan is certified at the mastery level: DAMA Certified Data Management Professional and Data Governance and Stewardship.

Ron Tolido (Capgemini)
Capgemini

Ron Tolido is Senior Vice President of Capgemini's group CTO network. He is also Advisory & Architecture lead at Capgemini's global Insights & Data Practice. He is also a Director at The Open Group, a blogger for Capgemini's multiple award-winning CTO blog, and a frequent international speaker. He is also Lead author of Capgemini's TechnoVision and the global Application Landscape Reports, as well as a Digital Transformation ambassador.

Ron currently takes interest in the new data landscape, cognitive systems, API management, digital strategy, enterprise architecture, DevOps, application rationalization, disruptive technology and - above all - radical simplification.

Ron absorbs technology and business trends, filters out what matters and guides Capgemini's clients in understanding how to apply technology to transform their business. He believes in finding natural balance between business and IT, in proper timing, in seeking the Zen within technology. He is an architect, an IT strategist, a publicist, an inspiring speaker and a certified disruptor.

Bram Lerouge (Doccle)

Omar Mohout (Sirris)
Sirris

Omar Mohout, currently Entrepreneurship Fellow at Sirris, is a former technology entrepreneur, a widely published technology author, C-level advisor to high growth startups as well as Fortune 500 companies and Professor of Entrepreneurship at the University of Antwerp, the Antwerp Management School and Solvay Brussels School of Economics and Management.

He is author of a number of books: "Pricing Strategies for Startups", "The Belgian Startup Landscape", "Crowdfunding in Belgium", "99 reasons why startups fail", the brand new "Corporate Venturing" and the popular "Startup Master Class series". He is a contributing author to the "100 Days Digital Marketing Plan" and "The Future of Business" books.

He is an active member of the General Assembly at Startups.be and serves at the board of high growth technology companies Aproplan.com and Teamleader.eu. He joined recently the Board of Directors of venture capital fund imec.iStart.

Omar is a keynote speaker and panelist on technology, entrepreneurship and innovation topics at leading conferences.

Paul Delbar (Nallian)
Nallian

Paul Delbar is a Solution Architect at Nallian. He started his career in software development before joining i2 Technologies (now JDA), where he ran the EMEA Customer Service organisation. After running an online fundraising platform startup, his supply chain background and a passion for solving business issues brought him to Nallian, where he is responsible for solution architecture and product management.

Florian Goossens (radix.ai)

Florian Goossens is the co-founder and project lead at radix.ai, which brings the power of AI to business, from strategy to execution:

  • Coming up with ideas and prioritising use cases
  • Building proof of concepts on real data
  • Deploying end-to-end AI solutions

At radix.ai, Florian is the bridge between the team and the client. Before founding radix.ai, Florian worked as a data scientist for several successful Belgian startups.

Patrick Van Eecke (DLA Piper)

Patrick Van Eecke, Lic.Iur., LL.M., is a lawyer and leads the e-business department of the international law firm DLA Piper, which has 4200 lawyers in 30 countries and more than 60 offices.

Patrick Van Eecke is recommended by the Legal 500 and the European Legal Experts as one of the top lawyers in ICT law in Belgium. He is ranked as 1st Belgian lawyer in the "Guide to the World's Leading Technology, Media & Telecommunications Lawyers" and is also in the world's Top 20.

Patrick is a professor at the University of Antwerp, teaching European Information and Communications Law. He is also a guest lecturer on Internet law at various universities, such as Solvay Business Institute, Kings College London and Queen Mary University of London (LL.M. Information Technology Law).

Patrick is member of the Brussels bar (since 1994) and is an associate member of the American Bar Association.
