My career: I have 45 years of experience in learning and development for higher and advanced education. As CEO of IT Works, I have organised and facilitated over 1.500 physical and online trainings since 1992 for over 10.000 customers. By researching the market and examining the business needs for emerging technologies, we delivered high-quality, vendor-independent, information packed events that provided solutions to the problems that many IT and business professionals face today.
My main interests are market research, trendwatching, networking, building communities and boosting knowledge. Talking about communities, I was one of the first 100 Belgians on LinkedIn, and I have built a considerable professional network on LinkedIn and X/Twitter.
By joining the Howest University of Applied Sciences in 2023, Patrick has gone back to his academic roots. There, he now acts as a community builder, advancing the AI, Cybersecurity, Immersive Tech, Web3/Enterprise blockchain, and Business Innovation teams, by sharing knowledge, organising all sorts of events, and coaching young potentials.
